Data Deletion Instructions

JaenX respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains exactly what data we store, and how you can request its deletion. These instructions apply to data processed through JaenX and the WhatsApp Business Cloud API.

1. What data we store
Depending on how JaenX is used, we may hold:
- Your WhatsApp phone number and profile name.
- Message content and interactive selections exchanged through automated flows.
- Media / attachments you sent or received in chat.
- Conversation metadata — timestamps, delivery status and message IDs.
- Session and flow state used to run your automated journey.
- For account holders: account and contact details and configuration data.
2. How to request deletion
- Contact us by email at [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request", or message us on WhatsApp.
- Include the WhatsApp phone number (and account email, if you are a customer) associated with the data so we can locate it.
- Tell us whether you want all your data deleted or only specific items.
- We may ask you to verify your identity to protect against fraudulent requests.
3. What happens next
- We acknowledge your request and verify it.
- We delete or anonymise the personal data we hold about you, except anything we are legally required to retain (e.g. certain billing records).
- We confirm completion. We respond to and action requests within 30 days.
4. Data held by Meta / WhatsApp
JaenX sends and receives messages through the WhatsApp Business Cloud API operated by Meta Platforms. Meta keeps its own copies of message data and purges them according to its own retention practices — typically Meta does not store message content on its servers beyond what is needed to deliver the message. Deleting data from JaenX does not control Meta's separate systems; for data held by Meta or in your WhatsApp app, refer to WhatsApp's and Meta's own privacy controls.
5. If you are an end-customer of a JaenX business
If you chatted with a business that uses JaenX (for example, a clinic or restaurant), that business is the controller of your conversation data. We will forward or coordinate your deletion request with the relevant business where appropriate, and you may also contact that business directly.
6. Meta App Dashboard registration
⚠️ Operator note (remove before publishing): the URL of this page — https://jaenx.com/data-deletion.html — must be registered as the "Data Deletion Instructions URL" in the Meta App Dashboard for the app connected to the WhatsApp Business Cloud API.
